Expanded PTFE Products

What is the temperature range for expanded PTFE?

+
Expanded PTFE (ePTFE) operates from -260°C to +260°C continuously. It maintains its mechanical properties and sealability across this entire range, making it suitable for both cryogenic applications (liquid gas, LNG) and high-temperature steam systems. Peak temperature for short-term exposure can reach +300°C.

Is PTFE chemical resistant?

+
PTFE is one of the most chemically inert materials known. It resists virtually all chemicals including acids, alkalis, solvents, and aggressive industrial fluids. The only exceptions are molten alkali metals (sodium, potassium) and elemental fluorine at high temperatures above 200°C.

How long does an expanded PTFE gasket last?

+
Quality ePTFE gaskets can last 5-15+ years in service, depending on application conditions. Unlike standard PTFE, ePTFE resists cold flow and maintains its seal under thermal cycling and vibration. In many cases, ePTFE gaskets outlast the equipment they seal. Actual service life depends on temperature, pressure, chemical exposure, and flange condition.

What is the difference between ePTFE sheet and a custom-cut gasket?

+
ePTFE sheet is raw material (up to 1520×1520mm) that you or a gasket shop cut into custom shapes. A custom-cut ePTFE gasket is a finished part made to your exact dimensions and flange specifications. We offer both: cut-to-size sheets or finished gaskets with dimensional tolerances up to ±0.5mm.

Is your expanded PTFE FDA compliant?

+
Yes. We offer FDA-compliant and USP Class VI grades of expanded PTFE for food, pharmaceutical, and medical applications. These grades meet FDA 21 CFR regulations and USP Class VI biological testing requirements. Please specify your compliance requirement when requesting a quote.

Can ePTFE be used in oxygen service?

+
Yes, but specific ePTFE grades designed for oxygen service must be used. Standard ePTFE may contain contaminants that are hazardous in high-pressure oxygen environments. We offer oxygen-compatible ePTFE sheets and gaskets rated for O2 service. Please provide your operating pressure and temperature when inquiring.
CNC Machining Services

Can you make custom PTFE parts from my drawings?

+
Yes. We accept PDF, CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, STEP, IGES), and hand-drawn sketches. Our CNC machines achieve tolerances up to ±0.01mm for critical dimensions. Typical lead time is 5-15 working days depending on complexity. We provide free technical review before production — our engineers will flag any manufacturability issues.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom parts?

+
We have no strict MOQ for CNC machined parts. Whether you need 1 piece for prototyping or 10,000 pieces for production, we can accommodate. For expanded PTFE sheets and gaskets, the minimum order is typically 1 sheet or 10 gaskets.

What materials do you CNC machine besides PTFE?

+
We CNC machine a wide range of engineering plastics: Virgin PTFE, Glass-filled PTFE, Carbon-filled PTFE, Carbon Fiber-filled PTFE, Graphite-filled PTFE, UHMWPE, PEEK, PCTFE, PVDF, Nylon (PA6/PA66), Delrin/POM (Acetal), PET, PC, and more. Contact us with your material requirements and we'll confirm availability.

What tolerances can you achieve on PTFE parts?

+
Standard tolerances are ±0.05mm. For critical dimensions, we can achieve ±0.01mm. Surface finish up to Ra 0.8μm is achievable on our CNC equipment. Complex geometries, threads, undercuts, and thin-walled sections are all supported.

Do you provide samples before bulk orders?

+
Yes. We can produce 1-3 sample pieces for most custom parts before committing to full production. Sample fees are credited toward bulk orders. For standard ePTFE sheets and gaskets, we can ship sample quantities within 3-5 business days.
Orders & Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

+
Yes. We ship globally via DHL, FedEx, UPS, and sea freight. Sample orders (1-5 kg) typically arrive within 5-10 business days via express courier. Bulk orders are shipped by sea freight or air cargo. All shipments include tracking and insurance. Door-to-door delivery available in most countries.

What payment methods do you accept?

+
For new customers, we typically accept T/T (bank wire) and PayPal. For established customers, we offer L/C at sight and credit terms (up to 60 days for qualified buyers). All payments are processed in USD.

What is your typical lead time?

+
Standard ePTFE sheets and gaskets: 3-7 business days. Custom CNC machined parts: 5-15 business days depending on complexity and order volume. Rush orders (2-3 day turnaround) are available for urgent requirements — a 30-50% rush fee applies.

Do you offer custom packaging and branding?

+
Yes. We offer neutral packaging as standard. Custom packaging with your logo, part numbers, and documentation is available for orders over $500. We can also provide material certificates, inspection reports (EN 10204 3.1), and certificates of conformance with each shipment.
