Expanded polytetrafluoroethylene is made of polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion resin through a special processing technology. It has an ultra-structure of "junction and fiber". It can induce the inward growth of self-tissue cells by controlling the junction distance. Therefore, the biggest difference between the use of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as a filling material and previous materials is tissue healing. That is to say, expanded PTFE is the tissue healing method of tissue growth, while the traditional silicone rubber is the tissue-wound tissue healing method. Therefore, the use of this material for soft tissue augmentation surgery including rhinoplasty surgery has the advantages of natural appearance, natural prostheses, no displacement, degeneration of the prosthesis, and the like, with few complications.
